Men

British, eccentric, with a touch of rock 'n roll, this is Paul Smith Autumn Winter 2005. The silhouette is slim and styles simple with flamboyance translated through prints, embroidery, colour and checks.

A slim silhouette dominates tailoring and separates. The collection encapsulates opulence with 'upholstery' inspired fabrics gracing jackets in rich seasonal colours. Tailored Epsom coats feature fishtails and traditional tweed and embroidered velvet waistcoats are introduced for a striking 'dandy' look. Embroideries throughout the collection are inspired by the exotic; insects, birds and flowers.

Traditional British checks make a strong impact throughout the collection, from hounds-tooth, Prince of Wales, through to Shepherd and tweed. Fabrics such as heavy wool tweed, washed out corduroys, leather, mixed with satins and rich coloured velvets are key.
