For AW10, PS by Paul Smith takes it inspiration from the Bloomsbury group artists Duncan Grant and Vanessa Bell. Their decor concept of ‘new from old’ for their Sussex home provides the backdrop for the colours and prints of the collection.
Colours are rich and dark. Faded florals, paisleys and decorative tiles are the dominant prints of the collection.
The silhouette remains slim with peak lapels and patch pockets. Subtle details grace tailoring; sateen bindings and velvet top collars feature heavily in the collection.
Knitwear adds brighter punctuations of colour in a variety of styles; cardigans, v-neck, polo and crew necks. Duffle coats and pea coats are strong within outerwear along with double breasted coats and shorter multi-pocket jackets.
