The Paul Smith Resort Spring 2011 Spectacles Collection incorporates signature Mainline influences and quirky detailing that embrace the essence of Paul Smith. Designs are sophisticated while staying true to the whimsical nature of Paul Smith.
Timeless frame shapes offer a variety of flattering styles, while vibrant hues provide a distinguishable brand with a defining twist. This season, the designs reflect the late 60’s/early 70’s rock era that served to inspire Paul Smith in the beginning of his design career.
CLAYDON (As seen on female model)
The Claydon is a quintessential Paul Smith design that speaks to the British classic yet quirky sense of style. Handcrafted in subtly patterned acetate colors, two color options have a matte finish. The slightly oversized unisex style is also a great option for a sunglass. The temples feature black enamel and textured silver circle pins, and the inside includes an inlayed “smile” plaque in Paul Smith’s handwriting.
HARROLD (As seen on male model)
An optical frame with a P3 lens shape handcrafted from acetate. The Harrold features a distinctive keyhold bridge and is offered in custom Paul Smith laminate colors like Black Horn/Gold and Canaletta/Clover. The temples feature black enamel and textured silver circle pins, and the inside includes an inlayed “smile” plaque in Paul Smith’s handwriting. This frame is available in two sizes.
FOXLEY (Unisex)
Paul was very interested in a palette of textured metals and this was incorporated in to the Foxley. This women’s metal sunglass has intricate detailing with a bi-colored metal straight top bar. The temple tip features a Paul Smith signature logo, and the inside includes an inlayed “smile” plaque in Paul Smith’s handwriting.
ROMILEY (Unisex)
Romiley is inspired by the 1950’s classic look worn by people such as JFK. This frame is an oversized unisex sunglass with a keyhole bridge and was heavily featured in the Paul Smith Spring Summer 2011 runway show. It is handcrafted with metal eyewire and an acetate browbar and temples. The temples feature purple enamel and textured silver or gold circle pins, and the inside includes an inlayed “smile” plaque in Paul Smith’s handwriting. The Romiley is the lead advertising frame for Resort Spring 2011. It will be extensively featured in our advertising and promotional materials including in store displays and windows.
