Paul by Paul Smith for Autumn Winter 2011 captures the lifestyle of a rock musician on tour, the collection encompasses an eclectic range of bohemian influences, complemented by a rich autumnal palette and nature inspired prints.
Signature classics are reinvented; tailoring with casual characteristics reveal a boyish silhouette with dropped lapels and suede elbow patches. Classic outerwear is found in pea and duffel shapes in felted wool and a timeless parka. Chunky knitwear in boyfriend shapes and studded leather biker jackets are thrown over baby doll dresses, elegant silk blouses and washed out denim.
Paul Smith has photographed four Polaroid prints for the Paul collection. Enhanced with saturated light and printed onto classic T-shirts, jersey dresses and bow front tops. Vivid nocturnal forests, tapestry florals and butterfly wing prints enhance the free spirit influence.
