Tuesday 8 April 2008
From 16th-21st April, Paul Smith's shop in Milan, Via Manzoni will play host to an exhibition of vases produced by design company Gaia&Gino using renowned designers Arik Levy, Yves Behart, Constantine Boym and Jamie Hayon.
All the vases will be shown for the first time at the fair and will be available to buy from the shop.
Gaia&Gino have worked with Paul Smith previously when launching Arik Levy's candle stick holders in London in 2006. Founded in 2004 with headquarters in Istanbul, Turkey, the company has distinguished itself with quirky, inventive and unusual products and earned a reputation as one of the international design scene’s most promising young brands.
"I was delighted to work with Gaia&Gino during London’s 100% Design in 2006, this was to launch Arik Levy's collection of fantastic glass and silver candle stick holders and vases. I really liked the products and it was a fun thing to do. I have stayed in touch with them and it’s great we can work together again to launch more glassware with Arik plus Yves Behart, Constanine Boym and Jaime Hayon."
