Paul Smith ‘Space’ Gallery is pleased to play host to ‘The Art of Craigie Aitchison’, an exhibition of recent works by the British artist Craigie Aitchison RA, one of the most loved artists in Britain today.
The exhibition will feature 21 paintings and 2 pencil drawings of assorted work. Craigie has worked on 15 new paintings for the exhibition that have not been seen before and the work is typical mix of Scottish and Italian landscapes along with Bedlington Dogs, Crucifixes, birds and found objects.
Paul had always been a fan of Craigie's work and they met some years ago through a mutual friend, the late artist, Euan Uglo.
Paul Smith Comments – ‘It is an honor to be able to hold an exhibition in my ‘Space’ Gallery for Craigie. I feel privileged to be able to bring his work to Tokyo and share it with the Japanese. Craigies skill and use of colour is very special
and I am really looking forward to seeing the new paintings all together.’
