Recently there was an interesting article in the FT Magazine about Nottingham’s ‘underground’ history. It includes the great catacomb below the garden of our shop at Willoughby House, Low Pavement, Nottingham.

The house was built between 1730 and 1740 by the Right Honourable Rothwell Willoughby, brother of Lord Middleton, the then owner at Wollaton Hall, it is a Georgian grade 2 listed building and has a sandstone tunnel and cave underneath. The building was restored and we opened the shop on 15 Dec 1994.
