Honjo

Honjo specializes in taking photographs of natural scenery and real cities, taken from high above, looking down on people, trees, buildings, cars.

The intensely coloured prints are littered with familiar every-day sights but offer a new perspective of real landscapes that look like artificially created miniature models.

Honjo was born in Tokyo in 1978 and graduated from the Tokyo Polytechnic University School of Arts in 2002. He has exhibited in many solo and group exhibitions and has won numerous photography awards including the Fuji Salon New Face Award in 2003 and the New Cosmos of Photography in 2004. Honjo lives and works in Tokyo.
