Royal Ballet Portraits

Photographed at the Royal Opera House, the home of The Royal Ballet, Paul’s aim for the project was to create engaging, interpretive images to capture the elegance and character of each individual dancer.

Using monochrome tones that focus on the contrast of light between subject and background, the luminance and personality of the subjects is captured both backstage and in the ballet studios at the theatre.

Eighteen photographs of The Royal Ballet's Principal Dancers will be on display at the No. 9 shop for a limited time period.
