Thomas Giddings at Sloane Avenue

After a successful exhibition at Paul Smith GLOBE, Paul Smith Sloane Avenue is pleased to announce the forthcoming display of ‘Here It Is’, a collection of photographs by Thomas Giddings.

‘Here It Is’ documents a series of road trips taken by Giddings over the last four years to destinations including Oklahoma, Montpelier, Mexico, Avignon and Paris.

Inspired by both the natural and manmade landscapes he encounters as well as the people that populate them, the recurring theme in Thomas Giddings’s work is the moment where the newness and spontaneity inherent in travel meets the remoteness of being constantly on the move

Thomas Giddings is a London-based photographer who has shot for high profile clients including British Vogue, i-D, Mulberry and Jalouse. His book ‘There’s No Other Place Like This Place Anywhere Near This Place, So This Must Be The Place’ was published in 2009 by PauWau Publications, New York in conjunction with his solo show of the same name.

Thomas’s first ever camera was a Snappy Snaps disposable he bought for a trip to Los Angeles when he was six years old, this began an ever growing passion for photography and travel.
