Paul was honoured with the prestigious Médaille de la Ville de Paris award. The Mayor of Paris, Bertrand Delanoe, presented Paul with the medal on the 20th of January for his contribution to the richness of the city.
The Medal of the City of Paris was first awarded in 1911 and honours those who have made significant contributions to the French capital. Paul has had strong ties with the city since he launched his first collection there in 1976. He continues to show in Paris each season, and has three shops in the city: including Boulevard Raspail, Rue Du Faubourg and Rue De Grenelle. The awards ceremony marked the beginning of the Men’s Fashion week in Paris.
