Paul Smith Globe is pleased to announce the forthcoming exhibition 'Send me a Postcard', a collection of textile artworks and paintings by contemporary artist Naomi Avsec.

Based in London, Naomi creates an array of artworks using appliqué, recycled fabrics and freehand embroidery on a sewing machine. She paints whimsical, bold and often surreal paintings as well as creating vivid Indian ink drawings. Doodling, intricate line-work and decoration feature highly in both mediums.

Following her successful debut exhibition 'Doodle, Dreams & Stitchery' at Paul Smith's Space Gallery in Tokyo, 'Send me a Postcard' is a collection of paintings and embroideries featuring a series of love letters and notes in which Paul Smith fabrics have been incorporated into the design. Naomi is inspired by love, nature, dogs, myths, animation, poetry, food, her vivid dream-life and an addiction to sending postcards and letters to loved ones (embroidered or doodled, depending on her mood!).
