We use session based cookies to help you maintain your shopping basket and any details you submit during your visit. We do not store permanent cookies on your computer, and you will need to login with your registered username and password each time you wish to purchase goods from the website.

Site Security

To ensure the highest standards of security, the ordering system used by Paul Smith encrypts information using the industry standard Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL). When you shop with us or communicate your personal details to our payment system which then talks to our merchant provider, SSL allows all personal information, such as your credit card number, to be encrypted as it travels from one designated place to the next. Once received, the information is unencrypted and processed in the same way as a credit card transaction placed via the telephone. At no time is your credit card number stored on our website or in our online database.

Shopping Online

Availability

We aim to hold all items in stock at all times. However, sometimes a product is even more popular than we expected so we may sell out. If so, we will contact you and endeavour to keep you informed. Please note that if you place an order after 12pm on Friday you will receive your goods earliest Tuesday morning, subject to card clearance and stock availability (UK only).

We will refund the original credit card charged only. (Please note that refunds may not show up on your bank statement immediately).

Prices

Prices are in UK Pounds sterling and are inclusive of UK VAT at 17.5%. Orders delivered within the European Union will be inclusive of VAT. Countries outside the EU and The Channel Islands are entitled to a VAT refund, which will be processed separately before the order is shipped. Please note that in this situation, the shopping basket will show the total amount before the VAT refund is issued.

We try and ensure that our prices are correct but occasionally errors do occur.If you have purchased goods with an incorrect price, we will give you the option of placing a new order with the correct price or cancelling your order outright. In circumstances where we are unable to contact you, we will automatically cancel your order.

Payment

Your credit/debit card will be charged when you place your order. If it is not denominated in UK Pounds sterling, it will be converted by the credit card company at the exchange rate prevailing when the charge is made. We accept the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Switch/Maestro and Delta.

All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer, if authorisation is refused we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. We reserve the right to delay any order for a security review.

When paying online we will ask you for your card security code number. For most cards this number appears on the back of the card at the top of the signature strip (we require the last 3 digits only). American Express security code number is a 4 digit number on the front of the card.

Accuracy of products and product information

We take care to ensure all images, descriptions and prices of products are correct. Although we aim to keep the website as up to date as possible, product descriptions and images and prices may be subject to inaccuracies.

Returns


We will offer a refund or exchange (if stock is available) on any unworn/unused goods (faulty or otherwise) within 28 days of despatch. Please ensure all items are returned in their original packaging with their labels intact. You will a receive returns form with each order to complete and return. Please state if you require a refund or exchange on the form.

We will re-imburse the postage paid when returning faulty items only. This will be the postage you were charged when purchasing the item and the cost of returning the item to us by registered post (Please note this does not affect your statutory rights). If you require an exchange on a faulty item and we have stock available, you will not be charged again for delivery. We also do not charge postage on exchanged items.

If you are returning an item because it is not liked or unsuitable you will only be refunded for the cost of the item, not the postage cost for returning the item.

Please note that all refunds and exchanges must be made through our website and goods may not be returned to our stores. Refunds will not be made by our stores under any circumstances.

Guarantee

If any product does not meet your expectations, please return it to us, unused and in original packaging within 28 days and we will either refund your money or replace the item. This is in addition to your statutory rights.

Delivery

All orders are shipped within 48 hours (where possible, subject to card clearance and stock availability) by 'Signed For' Courier service. Please note that the goods cannot be left without a signature. The couriers operate a Monday to Friday service between 8am-6pm, a specific time cannot be stipulated. We do not deliver to PO boxes.

Please note that the recipient will be responsible for any import duties, clearance fees and any other additional charges. We work on a DDU basis. Sometimes goods may be subject to delays, due to customs or weather. The customer is also responsible for providing any information required by customs to ensure the goods are cleared.

Delivery charges and lead times are as follows, please note these are working days not including weekends or holidays and are not guaranteed. This is from time of despatch not from when the order is placed.

Zone 1 - £6.00 (allow 2-3 days for shipment)
Zone 2 - £12.00 (allow 3-7 days for shipment)
Zone 2a-£18.00 (allow 3-7 days for shipment)
Zone 3 - £23.00 (allow 7-10 days for shipment)
Zone 4 - £30.00 (allow 10-14 days for shipment)

If you wish to send products to more than one address, please place a separate order for each address. A separate charge will apply to each delivery address. A separate charge will also apply for any redirection to a different address after the goods have been sent out from Paul Smith.
