David Baird

Having photographed bands in and around Liverpool and Manchester, David went on to study photography at Nottingham Trent University before earning himself a job assisting acclaimed Rock photographer Denis O’Regan. With the opportunity to cover events such as Live 8 & Download festival, his portfolio and passion for the rock and roll world of music photography grew until he was hooked.

Still living in Nottingham working as a professional photographer he continues to take photos of musicians as the resident photographer at the legendary Rock City and Rescue Rooms which gives him intimate access to create beautiful and iconic photographs of bands in their element.

Music photography remains an important and much loved part of David’s career. As resident photographer at the legendary Rock City he has the access to capture the special moments of rock and roll history which graces its stage.

‘Music has a fantastic effect of bringing people together and it feels great that my photos are helping The Music Exchange form a creative environment for the music lovers of Nottingham’ David Baird
