Paul Smith and Bunkaya

Throughout August, pop-up shops in Paul Smith Borough Market in London and Paul Smith 'Space' in Tokyo will present the 'Bunkaya meets Paul Smith' collaboration.

Tokyo concept store Bunkaya Zakkaten has become renowned in Japan for its eye-catching array of eccentric and unconventional items. From bags and badges to teapots and clocks, many of the colourful creations on offer at Bunkaya are handmade in the shop.

This August, East meets West as Bunkaya collaborates with Paul Smith on a unique collection of products created specially for the pop-ups in Paul Smith 'Space' and Paul Smith Borough Market. With Paul often visiting Bunkaya on his regular trips to Tokyo, the collaboration was a natural fit and marks the first time the two companies have merged their unique and distinctive styles to create a one-off collection.

Both in Paul Smith 'Space' and Paul Smith Park Street, there will be more than 1,500 collaborative pieces available. Drawing on Paul's personal photographs, quintessentially British imagery is mixed with a kitsch, playful and individual Japanese aesthetic to create a limited edition collection that bursts with vibrancy and colour.
