'Big Chill' 2017, Serigraph with handwork by Dale Chihuly

Drawing inspiration from Chihuly’s new 'Glass on Glass' series and the delicate balance of the Ikebana form, 'Big Chill' typifies the artist’s unrestrained drawing style. Overlapping shades of blue seemingly shift in the background as deep blue and silver ink delineate the iconic form. Adding to the expressive composition is the application of metallic paint to the print after it was hand-pulled from the press. All Chihuly Fine Art Prints are signed by Chihuly and numbered. Prints with handwork are created by drawing with paint onto existing prints after they are pulled from the press.
